Our store will be closed for the season starting November 13! We will be open November 10-12, Thursday and Friday 2:00-5:00 pm; Saturday 12:00-4:00 pm. We are SOLD OUT of all vegetables except potatoes. Once the store is closed we will be happy to fill potato orders as long as supplies last; please see the Contact Us page to place an order.
We’d like to say thank you very much to all who came by the store and our farmers market stall this year. We appreciate your business and we enjoy chatting with you! We are crossing our fingers for nice growing weather and a good crop next year. In the meantime have a safe, happy and fun winter!

Farmers market season is over! We had a late start this year at the market so it seems like it was over too soon. The beautiful weather made it very enjoyable!
Our store at the root cellar will be open starting Thursday, October 13th. Hours will be Thursday and Friday 2:00-5:00 pm; Saturday 12:00-4:00 pm. This year we have carrots, beets, rutabaga and potatoes; we also have some onions, leeks, squash and daikon radish. We have cabbage in very limited quantities and varieties; our cabbage crop failed this year due to a hailstorm at the end of June.
We look forward to seeing you this fall! It is a beautiful drive out here and we encourage carpooling with friends. We take pre-orders so please feel free to call and order in advance; your order will be ready and waiting for you when you get here. If you are buying larger quantities we especially appreciate a call in advance so we can serve you more quickly.
November 2021 update
Our store is closed for the season. As usual, when we run out of carrots our store traffic drops considerably and in anticipation of that we are now closed during our usual store hours. Thanks to all who made the trip out to visit our store this fall. We still have plenty of potatoes and some cabbage; we are happy to take your orders for those and meet at the store at a mutually convenient time. Please give us a call (see the “Contact Us” page). Otherwise, we hope to see you at the Wilson Square Farmers Market this summer! We wish you all a healthy and joyful winter!

We are sold out of carrots and onions! However, we do have cabbage and potatoes available. We ask for your patience at the store since Farmer Merle is running it on his own until Nov 20th. Farmer Jen is on the Vancouver side of the road closures at this point.

See you at the market! After a bit of a slow start we will be attending Wilson Square Community Market on August 1st. The market is downtown at the courthouse this year, 8:30-2:00. We will have bunched rainbow carrots, cabbage, turnips, kohlrabi, cucumber and of course romaine lettuce. Maybe even some new potatoes (yum!). We hope to see you there!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope you enjoy the holiday season. We also want to thank all of our customers for making this a great year for us! We really enjoyed seeing everyone at our store this winter.

To market we go! We will be attending the Wilson Square Community Market at Pine Centre starting Saturday July 27th. Our carrots might still need to grow a bit more before we can bring them, but they are nicely weeded and coming along well! We will have beautiful Romaine lettuces, crispy kohlrabi and bok choy, juicy turnips, and (my favorite) early cabbage. I never knew how tender and sweet cabbage could be until I tasted the early varieties. Don’t wait until winter to enjoy cabbage or you will miss out on these sweeties!

Spring is finally here! We are now sold out of carrots and potatoes, and our store is closed for the season. Thank you to all of our customers for keeping us busy this winter. We are gearing up for another growing season and will attend as usual the Wilson Square Community Market, which will be located at Pine Centre Mall again this year. The market starts up in May. We will update this website with the date we expect to start there as soon as possible. Please check back for further details.
