OCTOBER 2025
Our root cellar store is open starting Saturday October 25! This year we are open on Saturdays from 12-4:00. We have plenty of carrots and onions, limited amounts of potatoes and beets, and are already sold out of cabbage. Check the Find Us page for directions, and for large orders please call in advance so we can serve you more efficiently! Contact information can be found on the Contact Us page. We appreciate your advance calls greatly.
We’d like to thank all those customers who visited Nechako Garden’s booth at the Q3 outdoor market this summer. We sold our vegetables through them for the last two summers and hope to continue next year! It was a great way to stay in touch with our usual farmers market customers.

If you have a large order, you can call several days in advance so it will be packed and ready to go when you arrive (see the “Contact Us” page for contact information). Unfortunately, due to excessive deer damage this year, we have no cabbage for sale. We also no onions due to spoilage from the wet fall.

SEPTEMBER 2023
Our market season is over! Wilson Square Community Market is still running up to October 7th. We hope you take the time to head down to the courthouse to enjoy this friendly and fun group of vendors and customers! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the market this year, visiting with all of you and enjoying the beautiful weather (despite a few smoky days).
Merle and I have decided to end our season at the market a little early to focus on harvest. Once harvest is in we will open our store at the root cellar, as early in October as possible. Stay tuned; we will post the opening day and hours as soon as we know them, plus a list of the vegetables we will have available.
August 2023
Our market season has begun! After a bit of a slow start we have started attending Wilson Square Community Market. This market is downtown at the courthouse, on Saturdays from 8:30-2:00. So far we have bunched carrots and beets, juicy and sweet kohlrabi, tender early cabbage, broccoli, peas and zucchini. More to come! We expect to have onions and Romaine lettuce coming up, and new potatoes. Hope to see you there!
NOVEMBER 2022
Our store will be closed for the season starting November 13! We will be open November 10-12, Thursday and Friday 2:00-5:00 pm; Saturday 12:00-4:00 pm. We are SOLD OUT of all vegetables except potatoes. Once the store is closed we will be happy to fill potato orders as long as supplies last; please see the Contact Us page to place an order.
We’d like to say thank you very much to all who came by the store and our farmers market stall this year. We appreciate your business and we enjoy chatting with you! We are crossing our fingers for nice growing weather and a good crop next year. In the meantime have a safe, happy and fun winter!

Farmers market season is over! We had a late start this year at the market so it seems like it was over too soon. The beautiful weather made it very enjoyable!
Our store at the root cellar will be open starting Thursday, October 13th. Hours will be Thursday and Friday 2:00-5:00 pm; Saturday 12:00-4:00 pm. This year we have carrots, beets, rutabaga and potatoes; we also have some onions, leeks, squash and daikon radish. We have cabbage in very limited quantities and varieties; our cabbage crop failed this year due to a hailstorm at the end of June.

To market we go! We will be attending the Wilson Square Community Market at Pine Centre starting Saturday July 27th. Our carrots might still need to grow a bit more before we can bring them, but they are nicely weeded and coming along well! We will have beautiful Romaine lettuces, crispy kohlrabi and bok choy, juicy turnips, and (my favorite) early cabbage. I never knew how tender and sweet cabbage could be until I tasted the early varieties. Don’t wait until winter to enjoy cabbage or you will miss out on these sweeties!

Spring is finally here! We are now sold out of carrots and potatoes, and our store is closed for the season. Thank you to all of our customers for keeping us busy this winter. We are gearing up for another growing season and will attend as usual the Wilson Square Community Market, which will be located at Pine Centre Mall again this year. The market starts up in May. We will update this website with the date we expect to start there as soon as possible. Please check back for further details.
